Al Ittihad at night
Pic of a piece of art between the lanes on Al Ittihad road just outside the airport. It might not be visible in the picture, but there's a big flame in the middle of it.
Yes, the Flame Roundabout. In the old days it used to be a major landmark to help us give directions to people, now it's lost in amongst all the new roads and buildings. What a shame.

I wanted to get closer to it, but I didn't feel like walking a kilometer or two to find a safe crossing.
And I don't have the deathwish that many indians and pakistanis seem to have to cross Ittihad by foot. ;-)
I wish RTA would build more under- and overpasses in Dubai....
